Install on WordPress
Paste the snippet into a block and clear your cache. About 3 minutes.
Steps
Copy your snippet
Open your widget in Embedra, head to the Embed panel, and copy the snippet. It already carries your unique widget ID, so there is absolutely nothing you need to fill in.
Add a Custom HTML block
Edit the page or post where you want the widget to live. Add a new block, search for Custom HTML, and paste your snippet there. (Using the Classic editor? Just switch to Text mode and paste it in.)
Register your domain
Back in Embedra, add your website's domain in the Embed panel. For security, your widget won't load on unauthorized sites, so it might look blank until you do this!
Publish and check
Update your page and open it in a normal browser tab. If you see your widget, you are all set! If it doesn't appear, don't worry: check the quick fixes below before you change anything.
Troubleshooting WordPress quirks
Most WordPress issues are caused by caching plugins. You didn't do anything wrong!
The widget only shows when I'm logged in as an admin.
WordPress quirkWhy this happens: Plugins like WP Rocket or LiteSpeed Cache serve an old, saved copy of your site to regular visitors. That copy was saved before you added Embedra.
The fix: Clear your cache! In WP Rocket, hit Clear and preload cache in the top admin bar. Then check the page in an Incognito/Private window.
The widget only appears when I scroll or click the page.
WordPress quirkWhy this happens: Your caching plugin is intentionally pausing JavaScript to boost speed scores (WP Rocket calls this "Delay JavaScript execution").
The fix: Go to your caching plugin settings, find the "Delay JavaScript" section, and add embedra to the exclusion list.
WordPress deletes my snippet when I hit save.
WordPress quirkWhy this happens: For security, WordPress sometimes blocks standard authors or security plugins from saving script tags.
The fix: Make sure you are saving the page as a full Administrator, and double-check that you used a Custom HTML block, not a paragraph block.
