Add your widget to Webflow

Use a Code Embed element for a feed, or Site settings, Custom code for a cookie banner or chat button on every page. Custom code needs a paid Webflow plan. About 3 minutes.

1. Tip

   No code at all: the Embedra app

   Install Embedra from the Webflow Marketplace and add widgets straight from the Designer. See the Webflow app guide.

2. Tip

   Quickest: "Copy for Webflow"

   In Embedra, click "Copy for Webflow" (under the Embed pill, or in the widget card's "..." menu). In the Designer, select where the widget should go and press Cmd+V (Ctrl+V on Windows). It arrives as a Code Embed, ready to publish. For a cookie banner or chat button, paste it inside a component that is on every page, like your footer.

   Copy your code

   In Embedra, open your widget, click the Embed pill, then "Copy code". It already carries your widget's ID, so there is nothing to fill in.

   

4. On one page

   For feeds: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Google Reviews. The widget appears exactly where you paste the code.

   Drag in a Code Embed

   Open the page in the Designer. Click "+" on the left (or press A). Under Advanced, drag "Code Embed" onto the page.

   Paste, then "Save & Close"

   The "Code Embed Editor" opens. Paste your code and click "Save & Close". Then click "Publish" at the top right.

   
7. Heads up

   You only see a grey box in the Designer

   Webflow never runs code inside the Designer. Publish and open your live site (or your .webflow.io address) to see the widget.

8. On every page

   For tools that float over your site: Cookie Banner and WhatsApp chat. Paste once, at the end of the page, and it shows on every page.

   Paste into Footer code

   Click the Webflow logo at the top left, then "Site settings". Open "Custom code", paste your code into Footer code, click "Save changes" and publish.

   
10. Tip

    Check it like a visitor

    Open your live site in a private (incognito) window. That shows exactly what your visitors see, without your login or your browser's saved copy.

11. Fix

    The widget looks cut off at the bottom

    The block holding your Code Embed has a fixed height. Select it and set its height to Auto.

    Locking the widget to your domain?

    Add your .webflow.io address to Allowed domains as well if you want to check the widget there.
